We arrived after 16 hours of traveling (Phoenix, Chicago, San Juan, Tortola)! The puddle jumper into Tortola was exciting at night with a pilot who thought he was Tom Cruise.
After a night’s sleep in The Hodge’s Creek Hotel, Lara hit the incoming dock to “get the scoop…” She got all kinds of great advice (get the cushions early as they run out, get the black mask and fins they are new and don’t miss diving the wreck of the Rhone). From those off-loading their boats, she also became the recipient of food, paper products and more booze than we could carry! For those who know Lara, this was both amazing and to be expected. We even met some guys from New Zealand who “imposed” upon us to accept some of their extra beer.
We got on the boat at 6pm this evening and by 9pm pretty much everything was stowed (Lara kept muttering “we’re gonna need a bigger boat”).
We have a chart briefing and we meet our check out skipper in the morning and then we’re off!

Wow! You made it. Good on you. So jealous. We will have much fun following your escapades.
ahhh you two look so cute! Don't get too drunk! I've been dreaming of sun and sea...and then there are the nightmares about sharks chasing me...oh well, I can't wait to come! Only a month left!

Can't wait to hear how things progress! Ah, I'll live vicariously through you!
yay, yay, YAY!!!!! What more is there to say? The boat looks great and you two look like you're in for an adventure. From the sounds of it, you two are going to spend 6 weeks completely smashed, but with lots of paper products and the "new fins" :)
