Once we rounded Bonita Point, we encountered some strange tidal rips but nothing like what we encountered up in Alaska. I didn't even have to take it out of autopilotAfter so many days of seeing almost no other boat traffic, the Bay was pretty crowded with sailboats and ferries whipping around like mad.
We went back to Ballena Isle Marina on Alameda. This marina is managed by the gentleman from whom we purchased the boat.
The approach has some pretty shallow water but having been there before it was not a big deal.
We're in a really long, narrow slip but it's kind of nice to be back in a familiar marina.

Photos of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Bay Bridge are courtesy of my dad!
Dad leaves tomorrow and I've got a couple of days of long overdue boat maintenance before I leave for San Diego on Sunday (I'm flying down for a tradeshow).
I'll be back on Thursday (August 14th) and will be joined by a buddy from college for the run down south.
